Annual Reunion - 2010

groupMore than 300 former weight-loss surgery patients and their guests celebrated renewed life and health at the seventh annual bariatric reunion, held at Southwest Healthcare's Rancho Springs campus on Saturday, August 30. Since the program began in 2001, more than 2,500 patients have had weight-loss surgery at The Bariatric Center at Southwest Healthcare.

Past and present patients enjoyed refreshments, shared their stories and had glamour photos taken.

"The reunion is an event that patients and staff look forward to," said David Suh, M.D., Medical Director of The Bariatric Center. "To see the enthusiasm our patients have for life and to hear their stories of how this surgery positively impacted their lives, as well as their health, is tremendously inspiring and rewarding.”

The Bariatric Center at Southwest Healthcare offers a comprehensive program that recognizes obesity as a serious disease with many issues. The multidisciplinary treatment focuses on diet, exercise, mental health, surgery and education to heal the whole patient and achieve long-term weight-management success.
